My.Walk.Hike is a user-friendly iPhone app for tracking walking, hiking, or jogging activities. It offers several advantages over other GPS-based apps:

Easy to Use:
Simply tap "Start" and the app takes care of the rest. No account setup or registration is required. It even functions without WiFi or cellular connection, relying solely on GPS signal. My.Walk.Hike operates in the background, allowing you to use other phone functions while tracking your activity.

Auto-Pause:
My.Walk.Hike's auto-pause feature allows you to pause your activity for up to 60 minutes (adjustable in Settings) before the app prompts if your activity has ended. Only the time spent actively moving is used to calculate your average speed.

Never Lost:
With My.Walk.Hike, you are never lost. You can request the app to retrace your route back to the starting point, even without network connection. It keeps you on track and alerts you if you deviate from the trail. Even if the app is accidentally terminated or shut down by the system, it can be resumed to guide you back.

Back-On-Time:
Have you ever found yourself caught out after dark or arriving late because you didn't know when to head back? My.Walk.Hike solves this problem. Set your desired "Return Time" or select "Back by Dark," and the app takes care of the rest. It alerts you when it's time to head back, displays your required speed, and provides an Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) based on your current location and speed. You can update the "Return Time" during your activity or choose a different route, and My.Walk.Hike will still ensure you arrive on time.

Save and Share Your Activities:
The app automatically saves your route map and activity details locally on your iPhone. You can easily share your route map and activity details via email or Facebook. The app also allows you to mark waypoints and include photos with each waypoint, which can be shared with others at any time. This feature is ideal for reporting hazards, sharing points of interest, or arranging meeting locations.

Battery Saving:
My.Walk.Hike detects when you have ended your activity and automatically shuts off the GPS to conserve battery life.

DISCLAIMER:
Continued use of GPS running in the background can significantly decrease battery life. With My.Walk.Hike, a full battery charge can last for over 24 hours of use on an iPhone.

My.Walk.Hike is NOT a pedometer. It is a GPS-based app designed for outdoor use that calculates distance and speed based on location changes.
